Temple Scouts were common soldiers of the Temple Security Force, the defenders of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. They wielded standard blaster pistols and thermal detonators, but were also trained to use mechanical equipment. Trained by Jedi Knights, Temple Scouts were considered an adequate force. They served the Jedi Order until Operation Knightfall, after which surviving members joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Later after the Galactic Civil War, Luke Skywalker restored the position for the New Jedi Order.
