Seth Talbot was the postmaster of Chapelvale and the husband of Mrs. Talbot. He reported to Sergeant Patterson that four men, supposedly messengers of Queen Victoria, were in Church Haven, according to the postmistress. Seth later transmitted a message from a postmaster in Drakehampton that the four men were there, thus informing the policemen of the thugs' latest location. Seth was a minor character, nothing else is known about him.
