Lady Carmilla is a recurring Vampire Unique Monster, based on the vampire of the eponymous gothic novel Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan le Fanu. Like all Lady vampires, she is of a high rank, possibly an aristocrat in life, and is always portrayed as being of high standing as a vampire. Like her novel counterpart, she is also a lesbian.
