HMS Jessica Rice was an Edward Saganami-C-class heavy cruiser of the Royal Manticoran Navy. In 1922 PD, the brand new vessel was being towed away from the space station HMSS Hephaestus when the Mesan Alignment Navy's Operation Oyster Bay hit the facilities. A Mesan graser torpedo scored a direct hit on the station's spine, slashing through it and hitting Jessica Rice's unarmored topsides. The cruiser exploded, disabling the yard tug Longshoreman's after impeller ring, sending her wedge into automatic shutdown and leaving her unprotected as a piece of debris slammed into her and destroyed her as well.
