Manchester-based actor and director Benedict Power first appeared on Coronation Street in October 1999 as Tufty, an eco-friend of Spider Nugent. He returned to the programme in October 2003 as a Court Security Guard who initially intercepted Karen McDonald when she set off alarms in the building, in an attempt to prevent her divorce papers being processed that day.
