The Basketball Game was a game between the East High Wildcats and the West High Knights. Although the game was closely tied, it was interrupted by a technical error on the scoreboard when Gabriella Montez and Taylor McKessie hack into the school's computer and send a virus. It was later continued, with a victory for the Wildcats after Troy Bolton scored the winning point. The song "We're All In This Together" ocurred after the game. The same game occured in High School Musical 3. This time, however, the winning point was scored by new player, Jimmie "Rocket Man" Zara.
