After the Q Continuum banished 0, Gorgan hid himself in a cave on Triacus. Gorgan was also known cryptically as "The Catalyst" or "Friendly Angel", from background research into his history at the Epsilon Indi star group. In 2268, he was freed by members of a Federation colony, which he then destroyed, sparing only the children. To summon him, they would chant and hold hands in a rotating circle. His plans to use the children to conquer Marcos XII and the rest of the universe were thwarted by James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. (TOS episode: "And the Children Shall Lead")
