Bayushi Ryoku was a bushi of the Scorpion Clan who lived in the Second City. In 1198 Ryoku challenged the authority of the Imperial Governor of the Colonies Otomo Suikihime in open court. In a sanctioned duel to death, his clansmate, Bayushi Waru, silenced him.
