During its initial release on Original Sin, this track was credited to Jim Steinman, and due to its reuse, his authorship was never questioned. However, it has recently been discovered that this piece was actually written by noted author Ken Millar (writing pseudonymously as Ross A. MacDonald), who published it in his 1963 book The Chill. Steinman recently acclaimed MacDonald on his blog as one of the best mystery writers of all time.
