The film's name is a reference to Ray Liotta, the voice actor of Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Judging by the title and the drinking and smoking otter, it is possible that the film may be inspired by either the 1972 X-rated animated film Fritz the Cat or the 1986 live action film Howard the Duck.
