Bleez is thrown into the Blood Ocean on Ysmault by Atrocitus. While under the surface, Bleez remembers the events that led up to her induction into the Red Lantern Corps. On Earth, Raymond tries to kill Baxter with a Molotov cocktail before his brother John stops him. Raymond punches him. Bleez surfaces and expresses her anger toward Atrocitus for giving her back her pain and how traumatized she is form the experience. Atrocitus tells her he knows a way to alleviate her pain. They return to Bleez's home planet and Atrocitus tell her about how two of her rejected suitors arranged the Sinestro Corps member's visit and to exact revenge on them. Bleez visits her mother's grave and spits on her because she sees it as her efforts to marry her off leading to her misfortunes. They assault the home
