Scarak, Lord of Ultimar, pursues the fugitives(Seneca, Esau, Attar, Crow). As a battle ensues, he is severally wounded by Crow. After Keyser the ghost of the forest kills Scarak's group, he leaves a trail to the Forest Humans in which Scarak brings another army and attacks. In middle of fighting, Scarak kills both Ewan and Keyser. As he is fighting against Attar, he is unexpectedly killed by Crow as one of her arrows strikes him.
