The Kashmir gray langur (Semnopithecus ajax), is a species of gray langur in the Cercopithecidae family. It has been reported from northern India west into Pakistani Kashmir and in Nepal, but evidence indicates it only occurs within a single valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the Northern plains gray langur and is one of several Semnopithecus species named after characters from The Iliad, along with the Tarai gray langur and Tufted gray langur.
