Richard is Gwen's snobby, anal-rententive fraternity president boyfriend who aspires to get into medical school and wants to get Van expelled, viewing him as romantic competition. After he cheats on Gwen and frames Van, she spikes his protein shake with laxative, causing him to rush through his MCAT and violently defecate in a trash can in front of his oral exam committee, ruining his med school dreams.
