Heck Bast is a minor villain in Stephen King's The Talisman. Like Sonny Singer, Heck Bast works at the Sunlight Home and takes an instant dislike to Jack and Wolf. He is a very large and brutal boy and repeatedly beats Jack up. However, Wolf finally has enough and protects Jack by squeezing Heck's hand into a pulp. When Jack and Wolf flip to the Territories (a parallel universe), they witness Heck as a gargoyle whipping a boy they know to death. Later, Heck is brutally killed by Wolf during his rampage through the Sunlight Home.
