Shirley Pasternak is one of the members of Troop D and one of the few people to know about the existence of the Buick Roadmaster. She was present during several events involving the Buick including: the killing of the thinking being, the death of Mr. Dillon, and she was present when Sandy Dearborn told Ned Wilcox the story of the Buick. She was also present at Ned's attempt to destroy the Buick. She was able to help rescue him and Sandy and would be there in 2006 to see Ned become a rookie of Troop D.
