The Arized were a sentient species, native to the Unknown Regions. Some of the species were brilliant engineers, building powerful capital ships, such as the Surfeik cruiser. They sold these cruisers throughout the Unknown Regions for a time, until their homeworld came under attack by the Vagaari Empire. The Vagaari destroyed their planet and took their cruisers for themselves. The Surfeik would come to make up the backbone of the Vagaari fleet.
