Alexander Vorvayne, also known as Shasha Vorvayne or Sasha Vorvayne, was the father of Ekaterin Nile Vorsoisson and several sons. He lived on the South Continent of Barrayar. His first wife died young, and after his only daughter was married to Etienne Vorsoisson, he remarried. His second wife was Violie Vorvayne. He wanted his daughter Ekaterin to come home after she was widowed, but she instead decided to stay with her uncle Imperial Auditor Georg Vorthys. Despite this, he continued to take an interest in her welfare, and approved of Alexi Vormoncrief as a potential suitor.
