Younce was a Havenite citizen and an officer of the State Security Ground Forces. Holding the rank of Major, he served on the prison planet Hades. He was tried and convicted of crimes against prisoners by the military tribunal set up after the prisoner uprising led by Admiral Honor Harrington, but did not receive a death sentence. (HH8)
