A force support or support force was a formation of the Imperial Navy commanded by a systems admiral. It was comprised of over one hundred ships, as well as planetside depots. Force support was responsible for munitions, consumables, spare parts and equipment for force technical services, as well as medical ships and droid services. Force support had no escort vessels, and was given an escort if traveling through a combat zone.
