The Evening News is a newspaper that Mick Harper and Katherine Kavanagh worked for. Mick knew about the Anomalies and was determined to convince Katherine that he was correct. He (eventually) persuaded her to come to the airport where an Anomaly had appeared. He quit seconds before he and Katherine where eaten alive by a Giganotosaurus and the camera with evidence destroyed. The Evening News has not been used elsewhere in Primeval and it is unknown who the new boss is. It is likely that the ARC provided a convincing cover story to explain the sudden disappearance of the previous editor and one of her reporters, since their deaths do not appear to have caused any further suspicion.
