Yu-style table football is a form of table football popular through South Africa. It is a game of two players, each equipped with 7 footballers. The game is usually played on cardboard with footballers made of paper. The aim of the game is much like football. The players take turns to move their footballers one grid at a time on the gridded football field. Kicks can be taken as long as the footballer is in the same grid as the ball. Kicks are taken as the player flicks the footballer along with the ball placed in front. Each time both players move is counted as a round. Rounds are limited. The game originated in Pretoria and was invented by a school boy named Jialiang Yu.
