The first vessel in the 6002-series, the Balena had a fully partitioned central room, allowing easy installation of laboratories and probe units. Crewed by SRF crewmembers from Earth including David, Donald, Duncan, Rich, and Rosa, the SRF-002 Balena left Moonbase alongside its sister vessels on a mission to find habitable planets suitable for the colonization by Earth's dwindling populance.
