Founded as a small settlement a few decades after the end of the Mandalorian Wars, the city flourished over the millennia, and at its height—5 centuries before the Mandalorian Civil War—it had a population of over 300,000 people. Due to its isolation from planet's major populated areas, Shirok became a largely independent colony. Shirok became especially known for its highly efficient police service, which was globally active, and its special operations branch, ShenCresh Ops.
