The Dalad Kirn was situated to the west of the Kirmlesran Hills and ran into the Ne Tava (Ta. “The Pan”) and the Mirror of Fire to the north. The plain was quite flat; most of the eastern portion was covered by sand. The scant rainfall that made it past the hills barely wetted the land. The temperature here was the hottest in Sirayn. Temperatures would range as high as 120 degrees in the hot afternoon summer sun. Nomad rumors told that an egg would be cooked without a fire under the sun of the Dalad Kirn. The western portion of the Dalad Kirn (north of Chennacatt) was hard-packed, baked earth. Its glazed surface spread in innumerable cracks to the horizon without a break. Lacking knowledge of the few oases, a traveller could not survive a journey through the waterless plain.
