John "John" Bazz is a musician from Mar Sara and famed bass guitarist. Bazz got his start in the rock group The Velvet Vultures, but after lead singer Les McMurray "supposedly suffered from death," he and Jeff "Stumpy Pete" Cassens went to form Big Tuna, a famous Mar Saran rock group. After a string of hits with Dim Lights, Thick Smoke and Loud Loud Music, Sweet Home Alabama, and Jem's Tune, Bazz and his band fell into relative obscurity, but still regularly met in the lounge of the Motel 5.
