Iscariot was a "smart" AI created in secret by the renegade artificial intelligence Diana. The first "smart" AI ever created by another AI, Iscariot's purpose was to serve as a weapon in Diana's ambitious struggle against the Assembly and later the Created. In addition to coordinating his mistress's countless dummy programs, he was a capable attack program who specialized in infiltrating systems while evading the notice of other intelligences. Though loyal to his creator, Iscariot was an unstable program prone to attacks of self-doubt and personal reflection.
