The 2005 Federated Auto Parts 300 was a Busch Series event held at Nashville Superspeedway on June 12, 2005. Clint Bowyer won his first career event, holding off the charges of Kenny Wallace. Former points leader Carl Edwards missed the event because the race was delayed until Sunday. Edwards decided to race at Pocono Raceway with the Nextel Cup teams instead. That was a good decision, as he won the event. However, that left Reed Sorenson (3rd) to take a 51-point championship lead on Martin Truex, Jr and Bowyer. Stats
