It was uneventful, at least for her anyways. Her mother was a certain Yugito Nii, one of the jinchuriki's in the village of Kumo. It was known that Rīsaka's mother had given birth to her a few weeks prior to being captured and then killed by the Akatsuki. Thus the task of taking care of her fell to A, her maternal grandfather. There was some problems with that however, and these included A not being the nurturing type nor having time to take care of a baby when he was busy running the village. Thus taking care of the baby was given to Mabui, who proceeded to spoil the baby resoundingly until the age of 5. In accordance with this notion, Risaka also spent most of her very early childhood with her older cousin Mamoru, who was Mabui's son by way of Killer B, Risaka's uncle.
