The estate is one of four that made up the Nechells Green / Duddeston complex of 27 tower blocks and part of the 67 council-owned tower blocks in Aston. The estate along with Duddeston Manor Estate were refurbished in the late 1990s, when 2 of the other estates (Kellett Road Estate & Rupert Street Estate) were bull-dozed to make way for modern low-rise houses.
