The 1964 Savannah 200 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Savannah Speedway on May 1, 1964. Jimmy Pardue led the first 137 laps from the pole, but his rear end gear failure handed LeeRoy Yarbrough his first career victory, with Yarbrough beating Marvin Panch to the line by more than one lap.
