Usan was a Sirajit guard who worked for a gem merchant doing business in Port Caynn in the mid-third century of the Human Era. He was of a large and muscular frame and wielded a curved sword. His mistress was selling Sirajit opals in Port Caynn, until too much false coins entered the moneystream and she decided to leave and warn the other merchants to do likewise, because half of her earnings had been false silver one day. He only appears as a minor character in Bloodhound.
