The Ivory Mountains were located in the Unknown Lands in the Colonies. The Rokugani also used the terms the Boundary or simply the Edge. The native Ivinda called these mountains the Vindhyas. They were an extremely rugged semimountainous region of the Ivory Kingdoms that divided the eastern and western halves of the Ivory Kingdoms. Inroads were built by the Spider Clan during the Age of Conquest.
