Purves is currently an assistant puppeteer on the British Sesame Street co-production The Furchester Hotel, while also playing the occasional guest character (such as Gonger in "Very Important Porcupine" or a sheep in "Yodel-Ay-Hee-Hoo!.") He also worked on the Creature Shop commercial Flymo. Apart from his Henson work, Purves puppeteered on Spitting Image - New Year’s Eve Special, Our House, and Captain Abercromby.
