In the mirror universe Ashalla was the capital of the Bajor, much like it was in the primary universe. After the Terran Rebellion seized Terok Nor, General Miles O'Brien used the threat of the destruction of Ashalla as a means to keep the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance from retaking the station. In 2377, a fleet lead by the IKS Negh'Var approached the station, General O'Brien repeated his threat to attack Ashalla. However, Iliana Ghemor, under the guise of Intendant Kira ordered her ships to bombard the city first, removing any hostages O'Brien may have had.
