The 1973 Dixie 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 22, 1973. David Pearson led 178 of 328 in route to his fourth straight victory, holding off Cale Yarborough by one lap. Eventual 1973 champ Benny Parsons finished 25th.
