The Perine family was a Naboo family descended from some of the followers of Klosto Derine. They handle the financial affairs of Naboo's richest farmland relatively near Theed, and may very well be the richest family on the planet. They often marry in the almost as rich Olnick family, and on the rest of the planet the two families are often considered in the same breath as outrageously wealthy and of very little use to society.
