Gia was a Bajoran civilian who was on Deep Space 9 in 2372. After Bajor briefly re-introduced the D'jarra, Gia found herself to be a Te'nari. In the Replimat, she offered her seat to Kira Nerys, who was a Ih'valla and thus higher than her in the caste system. Kira protested that Gia wasn't finished with her food, but Gia said she'd find somewhere else to sit. (DS9: "Accession") Gia was played by Laura Jane Salvato. The spelling of this character's name is from the closing credits. The script has the spelling of the character's name as "Jia". [1]
