Yumi is the japanese term for bows. It includes longbows, Daikyu, and shortbows. The yumi is exceptionally tall, as it's height usually surpasses that of the archer. That were traditionally made by laminating bamboo, wood, and leather, using techniques that haven't been altered for many centuries, although some archers do prefer to use a synthetic yumi.
