Britain had been devastated by the first nuclear bomb, and it was more than delighted to leave the East Indies to Japan. Many believe the BUF leader Oswald Mosley was the worst prime minister in English history because of the war. With only her African colonies to hold on to (the Treaty of Munich took Canada and her Caribbean territories from Britain to the United States of America (Hitler is an American---Version 1)), Britain begins the long process of recovery. By 1980, she is a superpower again (with the help of the Germans), but many feel that it can never attain the height of its power again.
