Freak Darklings were pre-alpha enemies in Forbidden Valley, and likely other worlds early in the development of LEGO Universe. They resembled Hyper Darklings with the addition of large claws. An early screenshot shows a Freak Darkling in Portabello, indicating they were planned to be recycled much like how Hyper Darklings were, however, they do not appear in the released world.
