The Praxeum-class Strike Cruiser was a type of heavy cruiser in service to the Black Star Confederacy from 14 ABY During the latter stages of the Durgasi Conflict, it became apparent that the aging Njord-class Cruiser - and to a degree, the Skaadi-class Cruisers simply did not have the necessary firepower to deal with larger enemy ships. The solution was the Praxeum-class Strike Cruiser. Originally designed for use by Confederate Intelligence, the introduction of the Praxeum resulted in a halt of the production of Njord and Skaadi-class cruisers, in favor of the Praxeum Strike Cruiser.
