Yemorro Nen was a Kage born on Delaya to a family who had fled their homeworld of Quarzite when Otua Blank ascended to the throne. He grew up under the Empire but, despite being an alien, was able to receive a good education. He studied at the University of Alderaan but contracted Scere Ciebrolta and was sent home to his family to rest for a semester. The disease was so severe that most of his jaw and the right side of his face had to be replaced by cybernetic implants. During his time at home, the university, along with all of Alderaan was destroyed by the Empire's Death Star. He was still able to complete his education and he managed to obtain work at the Imperial Research Conglomerate.
