Capt. Sarah Brooks is a fictional character featured in the NBC-USA Network television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Brooks is the replacement for Capt. Daniel Ross (Eric Bogosian), who had to leave the series in the 2-hour premiere of the ninth season (airing in March 2010) after three years.
