Vanhe was a Marshal of the First Army of Yggur's Empire. He was forced to become its commander during the the Second Battle of Thurkad, when all higher ranked officers were killed. Vanhe was also responsible for placing Maigraith in charge of Yggur's Empire. Later, after the battle of Bannador and Maigraith's disappearance, Yggur demoted Vanhe to a mere private. However, he soon gained Yggur's favour once again and was re-promoted to Marshal; though he died soon after regaining this position, during the attack on Elludore.
