Run by and named after Harry Paramour, Harry's Bar on the East Side was under the control of the Tattaglia family almost since it's opening, and Paramour learned to live with it. Downstairs, hustler Bingo Bartelli ran a small craps operation that counted as little on it's own, yet was well defended due to attempts by the Cuneo family to also muscle in on the East Side. The Little Italy Police Chief was also known to frequent this bar, which made it virtually untouchable until he was blackmailed by the Corleone family. In 1946, Harry's Bar became property of the Corleone family.
