The Year of the Moon's Tears in Darujhistan was likely the 908th year in the Third Millennium there as it followed on from the Year of the Five Tusks, known to be the 907th year. Based on that it probably equaled the 1164th year of Burn's Sleep of the Malazan Empire calendar. The name was derived from a massive stone wheel with moving mechanisms in Majesty Hall, gifted to the city by Icarium, which named each year. The Year of the Moon's Tears began shortly before Lady Simtal's infamous fete.
