Anthony McNair is the stepfather of Tom. One night Anthony McNair becomes a werewolf and accidentally kills Tom's biological parents. Tom survived and McNair takes care of him. However, Tom believes McNair is his biological father. George and Nina find out years later that McNair has adopted Tom. Tom is angry, but only for a short time. As McNair is finally killed by Herrick, Tom decides to take revenge and wants to kill other vampires. Tom and McNair have a close relationships. The most years during their lifes they only had each other, so they care about each other alot.
