Vakrishar Assault Bombers fulfill the role of heavy space attack craft. Its most recent revision included a pair of ion cannons, turning it into an even more dangerous foe to hostiles in its sight than it already was. The fighter is fairly large and somewhat sluggish, unlike most Kartanin fighters - which in turn needed to be compensated by stronger shielding. A single dual laser turret proves a viable defense against enemy interceptors trying to outmaneuver the Vakrishar, and it can prove quite difficult to remain outside its considerable firing arc. The turret's main disadvantage to earlier models is that it cannot be directed into flight direction. It also means the turret is comparably useless without a gunner onboard.
