The Archives Massacre was an event which happened at the end of the Matoran Civil War in Metru Nui. When the Brotherhood of Makuta intervened to stop the fighting, Makuta Teridax's solution was to crowd large numbers of the opposing armies inside the Archives, lock them in, and then unleash the Rahi exhibits on them. This was enough to make the Matoran stop fighting, although of course it did nothing to help the Brotherhood gain admiration. Once the war was over, Teridax was assigned by Miserix to watch over the region of Metru Nui. Additionally, the Order of Mata Nui discreetly placed an agent in the city to prevent further such conflicts.
